20,000 pots saved thanks to overprinting

An organic cosmetics brand urgently contacted us to replace the Green Dot logo with the Triman logo on 20,000 jars already produced, following new regulations.

The challenge: to avoid costly and polluting remanufacturing while ensuring rapid compliance before the product launch.

Context

At the beginning of the year, the packaging development manager of an organic cosmetics brand contacted us urgently.

The company needed to comply with new recycling regulations by replacing the "Green Dot" logo with the "Triman" logo on its packaging.

The problem: 20,000 plastic jars had already been produced with the old logo.

Producing a new batch would have generated considerable cost and a significant environmental impact, especially since the product launch was imminent.

The challenge was clear: find a quick, clean, and compliant solution, while respecting the brand's CSR commitments.

Our intervention

Upon receiving the first samples, our teams conducted a technical and graphic analysis to assess the feasibility of the operation.

We designed a DTP simulation demonstrating the possibility of targeted masking of the Green Dot logo, followed by precise overprinting of the Triman logo.

This approach allowed us to correct only the affected area, without altering the rest of the design or the aesthetic quality of the packaging.

After validation of the test by the client (BAG), the 20,000 jars were processed at our logistics platform in Marseille.

In just three weeks, our teams completed the full correction, guaranteeing a flawless finish that complies with current environmental standards.
